Welcome to the Hazlet Business Owners Associations Website

The Hazlet Business Owners Association was founded on the need and basis for local businesses to gather and discuss matters and to try and come up with resolutions to assist in the growth of the local Hazlet Business Arena. Along with other local businesses the HBOA can and will be a productive asset to any Hazlet Business Owner.
The objective of the Association shall be to further the principles of fair business practices, to aide in the establishment of clear communications with Township Government, to foster good relations with the local Police, Fire and First Aid Departments and to assist local business in being treated as a "Valued" asset of the community.
The Hazlet Business Owners Association is open to all business owners and their representatives. Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month on the 2nd. Floor Conference Room of Scudiery Enterprises, located at the Airport Plaza Shopping Center, 1390 State Route 36, Suite 105 (upstairs from Interstate Electronics). The meetings foster a relationship between businesses in the community and provides an outlet to discuss common concerns. Guest speakers and Board of Trustee members address the membership at each meeting advising of any information which may impact the business community.

A Letter from Our President

Dear Fellow Hazlet Business Owners,

2013 was a year of many accomplishments.  Our membership doubled in growth, as Hazlet business owners have recognized the value of being a member.

Our goal is to help our members connect with other business owners to discuss how to improve our businesses and our community.  We provide critical input and feedback, helping to create a united voice for our members while developing strong relationships between the local government, the community and civic organizations.

Our recent focus has been the business development along the two highway corridors that run through the Township.  Both highways have seen an increase in vacant buildings and storefronts over the past few years.  The HBOA recently formed a committee called the Hazlet Township Economic Development Committee; its mission is to enhance the many attributes that the Township of Hazlet has to offer.

We invite you to attend our monthly meetings that are the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:15pm.  Meetings are held at the Scudiery Enterprises Conference Room – located above Interstate Electronics at Airport Plaza.  These monthly meetings are informative for both business owners and residents.

Please save the date and join us on Sunday, February 16th, as the HBOA has a networking event that will include recent updates from the Economic Development Committee. This networking event will be held at the Shore Café, 1104 Route 36, Hazlet, from 5pm – 8pm.  This event will also raise funds for our High School Scholarship Program, which has grown over this past year from $1,000 to $2,500.

For more information on the HBOA, visit our website at hazletboa.org or on Facebook.

       Sincerely yours,

Ted Koczon, President - Hazlet Business Owners Association
